Bihar Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi today accepted Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi’s recommendation on dismissal of two of his ministers, highly placed Raj Bhavan sources said.
Rajiv Ranjan Singh Lallan, Minister for Road Construction, and P K Shahi, Minister for Forest, are close confidants of Manjhi’s mentor and now rival Nitish Kumar.
The Manjhi camp believes that the two have been in the forefront to oust Manjhi from the chief minister’s post.
The governor’s acceptance of CM recommendation sent last night implies he did not entertain JD(U) President Sharad Yadav’s request not to heed to Manjhi, who he claimed, is in the minority now.
The two ministers had recently protested against the transfer of IAS officers by Manjhi in alleged violation of rules.
