Circor Flow Technologies India Pvt Ltd (Circor India), which is a part of Circor International of the US, today inaugurated its manufacturing facility at Ponnandampalayam near Coimbatore.

The company has invested about Rs 23 crore in the facility.

'Centre of Excellence'

In a release, the company said that the newly commissioned 60,000 sq.ft. unit has come up on 8.75 acres and would be Circor’s ‘Centre of Excellence’ for manufacturing and engineering services.

Apart from a manufacturing facility for control valves and steam conditioning valves, it has an office space for global sourcing, design and applications engineering services. 

The release said that Circor India products would serve not only the domestic market but also international markets.

At present, it has 150 employees here. While the manufacturing unit has capabilities in machining, fabrication, welding, assembly and testing, the supply chain and engineering services would extend shared services to Circor’s businesses globally.

Wayne Robbins, Executive V-P and Chief Operating Officer, Circor International Inc., described India as a “very strategic market for Circor’’ and visualised growth in its India operations. 

The parent company Web site said that Circor International is engaged in the design, manufacture and marketing of valves and engineered products and sub-systems that found application in industries like energy, aerospace etc.
