Decathlon India opens 1st retail outlet in Kerala

Decathlon Sports India has unveiled its first retail outlet in Kerala near Kochi. With an area of over 35,000 sq ft, Decathlon Kalamassery will be the largest sports goods retail store in India.

The outlet will house more than 40 sports goods and over 4,000 sports products and equipment under one roof.

Decathlon is the French designer, manufacturer and retailer of sporting goods founded in 1976. It designs, manufactures and sells products under the flagship brand called Oxylane. The large open space at the store ensures that sports enthusiasts can try the products before purchase.

Thomas De Lizaso, Regional Manager, Decathlon India, said that the store would serve as an easily accessible and ideal avenue for sports enthusiasts.

Globally, Decathlon is present in 18 countries and operates around 769 stores worldwide. In India, Decathlon has stores in Zirakpur and Ludhiana in the North; Ahmedabad and Mumbai-Thane in the West, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Kochi in the South.
