Doheights Alliance Services, an NRI initiative for the distribution of financial products targeting expatriates, has been launched in Kerala.

The service will meet the growing financial needs of NRI businessmen in various West Asian countries, as they are finding difficulties in availing loans due to the emerging economic scene in Gulf countries on account of the oil price fall.

DAS in association with DBFS, an associate company of Doha Bank, is devising a special loan product, wherein NRIs can pledge their fixed assets in India with DBFS and arrange facilities abroad. The loan scheme is completely through DBFS through its non-banking division in India under RBI licence.

Inaugurating the new service, Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy called upon the NRI community to engage in the state’s development beyond their monetary contribution, given the large-scale developments happening in the state. Expertise of the professionals working abroad will be an opportunity for the state to run on its development track.

The Chief Minister also complemented DAS for coming forward with the idea of distributing financial products, which would help NRIs in a big way.
