Wood and metal works, handlooms and handicrafts will be given away as prizes at the South Indian Bank Grand Kerala Shopping Festival (GKSF).
Craftsmen will adorn a pride of place in the season 6 of GKSF and featured in special pavilions at the spectacular Global Village coming up in Kochi and in eight thematic exhibitions to be held from December 15, 2012 to January 31, 2013.
GKSF plans to source these items from State-owned agencies and cooperatives, says U. V. Jose, director, GKSF.
This will help promote indigenous products from the State and its craftsmen since shopping tourism is a festival theme, he added.
