It was virtually a repeat of Vibrant Gujarat 2011.

Many among the who’s who of India Inc., present in big numbers as the Vibrant Gujarat 2013 commenced here on Friday, virtually lined up to praise Narendra Modi who returned to power as Chief Minister for the fourth time in December 2012, registering a hat-trick in the Assembly elections.

Anil Ambani, Chairman of the RADA Group, took the lead by counting Modi in the long list of illustrious sons of Gujarat — Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Patel and Dhirubhjai Ambani. He said “Narendrabhai is a leader amongst leaders, a king amongst kings”, one who truly represented Gandhi’s teaching of “Be the change yourself that you want others to follow.”

“Like my father, Narendrabhai also dreams with his eyes open. Like (the Mahabharata’s) Arjun, he has clarity of vision and target. Modi is a huge magnet for investors”, Anil added.

Mukesh Ambani praised Modi for his “grand vision and determination, for translating his dreams into reality.”

Hari Bharatiya, too, lauded Modi for his “dedication, love and fire.”

CII President Adi Godrej, while congratulating Modi for his poll performance, said he has provided stability and continuity to the state government.

Ratan Tata, too, commended the Chief Minister and his team.

Anand Mahindra praised the Chief Minister, applauded the Gujaratis’ business acumen saying they are not afraid of failures, a quality that enables them to become successful entrepreneurs and innovators.

Konstantin Malenko, from Astrakkhan, CIS, congratulated the Chief Minister for his December poll victory.
