Both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal think they can change the society on their own, said Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday.
Addressing a rally organised by the Delhi unit of the Congress ahead of local body elections, he said in both their governments, decisions are taken by one individual.
“Modi and Kejriwal do not take decisions for the people. They just make false promises. Kejriwal and Modi have damaged the interests of the people of Delhi and India,” he said. “This is the season of false promises. Modi says he will curb corruption by demonetisation. The poor were at the receiving end. The 50 rich families of the country are the beneficiaries of Modi government.”
The health conditions in Delhi have become pathetic during Kejriwal’s tenure, he added. “Did any one die because of dengue during our tenure?” he asked. “We do things collectively.”
