Karnataka’s Department of Tourism and State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC), along with the Home department, have launched ‘Tourist Mitra,’ a tourist-friendly police force, to be deployed at various tourist destinations in the State. Home Guards personnel were trained by KSTDC and the Home department for the job.
