In Narendra Modi's home state Gujarat, Bharatiya Janata Party is leading in a clean sweep of 26 seats of the state with a vote share of 59.1 per cent according to data from the Election Commission Web site.
Considered Narendra Modi, BJP's prime ministerial candidates bastion, the clean sweep will bolster the party which is set to form the government.
Among the prominent leaders, senior leader of BJP Lal Krishna Advani is also expected to win comfortably in Modi's home state.
Some of the major constituencies from the state are Vadodra, Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad (E), and Sabarkantha.
