The much-awaited 22-km Mumbai Trans-Harbour Link (MTHL) has been given clearance by an expert appraisal committee (EAC) of the Union ministry of Environment and Forest.
The sea link will connect the island city of Mumbai at Sewri with Nhava, on the mainland. The state government hopes to issue a mega tender by the end of March and begin work by year-end.
