Muthoot Pappachan Group has entered the private security industry by providing innovative security solutions using advanced monitoring and surveillance system at a reduced cost.

The 129-year-old business group’s initiative is expected to cut down the security costs by over 50 per cent, according to a press release.

The company employs Emergency Response Teams (ERTs) of trained men who will be using advanced technology vehicles (ATVs) with e-surveillance system for monitoring and warning. The company deployed 45 ATVs for Tamil Nadu today.

This marks the group’s entry into the ₹20,000 crore private security industry and has deployed the service in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The services will be further extended to Delhi, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan in the next phase.

A fleet of 133 ATVs has been inducted to expand the first of its kind services across the country in a phased manner.

The group used the service initially for its branches in the southern states which resulted in protection of their assets at reduced costs of security. This led the group to set up a separate company MPG Security Group (P) Ltd, for a national roll-out of its security initiative, ERTs.
