The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday said that Andhra Pradesh itself was a big brand and continues to attract investments.

When he was asked if he was considering appointing a brand ambassador like his counterpart had chosen Tennis star Sania Mirza for Telanagna, he said the State (AP) has made big strides and has major achievements to its credit, it does not need brand ambassadors to be appointed.

Referring to his own role as a brand ambassador in promoting the State, he said that the growth seen during his regime in 1995 to 2004 bears a testimony to this in attracting several major companies including Microsoft and Bill Gates, for which he had to travel to Seattle in US thrice, and even US President Bill Clinton to visit Hyderabad during his tenure.

He said look at how Prime Minister Narendra Modi has become the country’s brand ambassador and how countries from across the globe are looking at India during his tenure. Likewise, he said people and companies will look at AP in a similar manner.
