NITI Aayog and Piramal Foundation entered into a partnership on Tuesday to work together for transforming 115 districts across the country that face multiple challenges on the fronts of education, health, employment and basic infrastructure.
The statement of interest (SOI) that they entered into would help Piramal Foundation work in the district administration in 115 districts, which have been identified by NITI Aayog as ‘aspirational districts’. Under the agreement, the foundation will work in close cooperation with the district administration, State Prabhari Officers, Central Prabhari Officers, state government and concerned central ministries to improve the identified indicators by strengthening the existing public systems, specifically in the health & nutrition and education sectors, a statement issued here said.
It will provide support by focusing on leadership development, change management, technology integration and implementing various innovative practices. The collaboration is for four years with the option to continue, based on mutual agreement, the statement said
