Procam International has started registrations for the ninth edition of the TCS World 10K marathon in Bengaluru.
The marathon, which will kick off on May 15, will be spread across five categories. These will be the Elite World 10K for men and women to attract the world's track and field road runners, the Open 10k run for amateurs, the 5.7-km run for enthusiasts, the 4 km run for senior citizens and the champions with disability run, officials said in a statement. The total prize money is estimated to be $197,768 this year with rewards across categories.
Participants will need to pay Rs 1,250 for the Open 10K, Rs 800 for the 5.7-km run and Rs 300 for senior citizens and champions with disability run.
The marathon has also provided a special quota and limited running places in the Open 10K for women applicants to encourage participation, officials said.
