The Punjab government today constituted a state Labour Welfare Board led by the labour minister as its Chairman.
A Punjab government spokesman said that besides the labour minister, the other independent members nominated to the newly-constituted Board were the principal secretary of labour, principal secretary of finance, director of industries and commerce and the director of social security and child development.
The Punjab labour commissioner has been included in the board as its member secretary.
