Rafael fighter aircraft deal is the most biggest corruption case of NDA government led by Narendra Modi in India, said Congress party president Rahul Gandhi.

Addressing Congress party's Janaashirvad Yatra in Hospet (Ballari district in Karnataka), said IAF signed a deal with French company for its requirements.

The deal was signed when UPA government was in power.

When NDA came to power and Modi went to France. He on his own changed the contract, Rahul Gandhi said.

As per the earlier contract, HAL was to build aircrafts and UPA wanted HAL to construct it with its proven record. HAL is a prominent company having 70 years of record in building aircrafts.

Rahul Gandhi accused Modi of finalizing deal by consulting defence minister and without bringing it before Cabinet Committee on security changed the contract to suit his business man friend.

"Modi stole the contract from HAL and gave it to his friend. By dropping HAL, Modi has denied HAL which has brought fame and glory to Bengaluru," Rahul Gandhi said.

"Also by this act, Modi has denied employment opportunities to youth of Bengaluru," he added.

" Here I want to ask Modi couple of questions. On what basis did you give contract to your friend?. What price have you fixed for buying aircrafts?," He further said.
