BJP leader L K Advani along with the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Thursday laid the foundation stone for the Rs 432-crore Narmada Simhasta Kshipra link project.
The project foundation was laid by the two leaders at Ujjaini village, about 25 km from where river Kshipra begins.
Chouhan said attempts would be made to complete the project in a record time as it would be beneficial for the people of Malwa region, which was under the grip of a water crisis.
