Industry body Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has elected S. Gopalakrishnan, Co-Founder of tech giant Infosys as its new President for 2013-14. Gopalakrishnan will take charge from Adi Godrej, Chairman of Godrej Group. Further, CII also named Ajay S. Shriram, Chairman and Senior Managing Director of DCM Shriram Consolidated Ltd (DSCL), as its President Designate for the year. Shriram is involved with a number of industry associations and educational institutions and is the Chairman of the Governing Body of Shri Ram College of Commerce and a Trustee of SOS Children Villages of India. Sumit Mazumder, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of TIL Ltd, has been elected as the Vice-President of CII. He is also the Chairman and Managing Director of Tractors India Pvt Ltd.
