State Bank of Travancore (SBT) has integrated its technology platform with the Vidya Lakshmi portal hosted through National Securities Depository Ltd.
This will help students to submit application for education loan through the internet, an SBT spokesman said here.
Students may apply, track and get feedback/responses from the bank through the site. They need to scan and upload documents to be submitted as per the requirement of the bank’s scheme.
After receiving the application, the student will be invited for personal interaction as well as further procedures for processing the loan, the spokesman added.
The Vidya Lakshmi Portal provides a single window for students to access information on and apply for educational loans and also learn about scholarships payable by the government.
It also has information about educational loan schemes of all banks; enables students to email queries/grievances relating to these loans; and links up with the National Scholarship Portal for information on and application for government scholarships.
