Satya Prasad Tucker, Special Chief Secretary, Planning, has assumed charge as the Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh here today.
He succeeds IYR Krishna Rao, who will retire on January 31 on attaining superannuation.
Tucker was handed over charge on Saturday as January 31 happens to be a Sunday. Post the retirement, Krishna Rao has been chosen to head the AP Brahmin Welfare Corporation.
