More than 200 students from three countries are taking part in a global health symposium at Manipal University in Manipal.
A press release by the university said here on Monday that the global health symposium is a platform for students to come up with ideas for promoting healthy lives.
As many as 134 students and 13 faculty members of Global Health Programme from Maastricht University of The Netherlands and MacMaster University of Canada, along with 77 students from the Department of Public Health, Manipal University, are participating in the symposium. The two-week symposium concludes on May 2.
The release said that the students are divided into groups and provided with field orientations on non-communicable diseases, infectious diseases, mental health, geriatric care, occupational health, and maternal and child health.
