The Tamil Nadu government today signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth ₹15,128 crore with various companies. This is likely to generate employment for 47,150 persons.
A State government press release said that out of the total 17 companies that signed the MoUs, officials of nine signed in the presence of Chief Minister Edapaddi K Palaniswami, and the remaining eight through video conference.
The companies include Chennai Power Generation (₹3,000 crore), HDCI Data Centre (₹2,800 crore), Vivid Solaire Energy of France (investment of ₹2,000 crore), ST Telemedia of Singapore (₹1,500 crore), and Salcomp of Finland (₹1,300 crore).
