Tata Power’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Coastal Gujarat Power Ltd (CGPL), on Thursday said it has supported four villages in Mundra taluk of Kutch district with digitisation of their records and administration processes.

The Gram Panchayats of Moti Khakhar, Nani Khakhar, Tunda and Mota Kandagara were provided with the software to digitise their records and administration processes, the company said in a statement here.

This was done in line with the State Government’s E-Gram Policy to connect all villages and taluks with internet facilities to provide E-services to the various Gram Panchayats of the state.

With an aim to provide and develop the infrastructure for digitisation Tata Power identified the software from Infogram Software Pvt. Ltd., which is certified by the Government of Gujarat. The digitisation programme was implemented in the four Gram Panchayats as a result of vibrant partnership between the panchayat and CGPL, said K K Sharma, ED and CEO.

The software offers customised service to Gram Panchayats to digitise their records and administration processes, such as certificates of birth and death, proof of income, proof of caste, bona-fide certificate, proof of residence, etc. as well as forms/applications of various government schemes such as widow pension, old age pension scheme and disability pension scheme, among others.
