Investors and entrepreneurs wanting to set up industry in Telangana can look forward to a hassle-free, corruption free mechanism and processing time under 12 days. The new industrial policy to be unveiled on June 12 will also have a single window clearance.

All that has to be done is apply online with the proposal and once approved, the Chief Minister himself will hand over the package of permissions. There will be a chasing cell in the CM Office and a land bank of over one lakh acres waiting to be allocated to new industry, says K Chandrasekhara Rao himself.

Interacting with a group 56 working executives from various corporates doing MBA program at Indian School of Business, KCR expressed confidence that the Industrial Policy will bring in more investments to the state.

The industrial policy was formulated after several brain storming sessions after going through 1,000 odd reports. In addition policies of several countries were studied. “I also personally visited Singapore and Malaysia to study and understand their industrial policies”, he said.

Telangana is not only budget surplus but would become power surplus by 2018. The government would spend Rs 91,500 crore for power production by then.
