The Telangana Government will announce its Industrial Policy on June 7. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao has decided to hold a meeting of top industrialists that day to unveil the policy that promises single-window mechanism to accord permissions in 15 days.
It also promises to do away with red tapism in vetting the project proposals and according necessary permissions.
The State announced an Industrial Policy Framework which consists of the Government’s intent to provide industry-friendly atmosphere.
“We have promised to give permission in just 15 days. The Government will take care of land, water and power needs of the industry. We have already handed over 1.60 lakh acres of land to the Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation, which will take care of allocations,” the Chief Minister told a meeting of Principal Secretaries representing several Departments here on Monday.
“We will help the corporation develop some chunks as industrial corridors. We have taken a decision to set apart 10 per cent of water from irrigation projects to the industry. We will use the upcoming Water Grid pipes to supply water to the industry,” he said.
