Tami Nadu has allowed 17 industrial estates including Ambattur and Guindy, in Chennai to resume operations from May 25. However, operations will be only with 25 per cent of employees, says a State government press release.
No operations will be allowed in the containment zones.
There are certain guidelines that the units need to follow. Every day, employees’ temperature should be checked using thermal scanners; face mask is compulsory; social distancing should be maintained; disinfect the unit twice a day and employees above 55 can be avoided, the release said.
The units should follow the government’s Standard Operating Procedure, it also added.
