Hirco Palace Gardens, the luxury apartment project at Oragadam to the west of Chennai, has launched a 250-m, 12-bay golf driving range.

The driving range is a prelude to a nine-hole, resort-style golf course that is to come up at the residential project, said a Hirco press release.

The driving range was inaugurated by F.A Vandrevala, CMD, Hirco, last week.

The Hirco golf driving range has an architectural canopy to protect the golfers from sun and rain. The proposed Golf Course will feature a combination of Par 3,4 and 5 holes each with its unique combination of bunker, water and vegetation hazards. The 50-acre course stretches out to over 2,500 meters (an 18 hole equivalent of 5000 meters/5500 yards), it lies within view of a large proportion of the luxury apartments in the township.

The modern driving range will give the residents of Palace Gardens an experience and feel of golfing along with their existing luxury apartments.

It is designed by internationally renowned, award-winning designer David Hemstock. It lies within view of a large proportion of the luxury apartments at the township.

Hirco Palace Gardens is a 369-acres township project designed as a self-contained community with offices, schools, retail, healthcare and recreational facilities. The township will also have public spaces such as large parks, neighbourhood gardens and children’s play areas.
