Leading consumer electronic brand Samsung is confident of maintaining higher than the industry growth in the System AC (HVAC-Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning) segment going forward.
This, the company claims, will be achieved by its vast range of products and customised offerings.
“The System AC market, which is estimated at about $200 million, has been growing at 10-15 per cent and our growth has been 3-4 times of the industry growth depending on the market. We are the fastest growing brand in the industry. Due to wide range of products and customised offerings, we are able to address a range of user needs,” Vipin Agrawal, Director, System AC Business, Samsung India, said here.
The company’s major customer segments include luxury residential projects, hotels, hospitals and educational institutions, among others.
Samsung works closely with consultants, architects and premium developers. “As government advocates energy-efficiency products, we also work with government agencies,” he said.
Its latest range of products handle variation in loads with power savings benefits and hence such products are preferred by institutional buyers, he added.
Samsung’s continuous focus on innovation in its HVAC systems has been key in maintaining its position in this space. The cost of its System AC products will be in the range ₹30,000-₹60,000 per tonne depending on the product and configuration. Its tonnage starts from as low as 1.5 tonne and goes up to 100 tonne.
