Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will hold an all party-meet today to discuss and decide on the Maratha quota stir. The Marathas, demanding 16 per cent reservation, had been taking out silent marches across the state. The protest turned violent on Wednesday injuring 20 policemen in Mumbai after the community outfits called for a Mumbai bandh which was later called off.
Indian Medical Association has called for a 12-hour strike to protest against the National Medical Commission Bill 2017. Out-patient department, planned surgeries and other non-emergency services will not be available during the nationwide protest. The NMC Bill will be introduced in the Parliament on July 30.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be launching Rs 6,000 cr worth new projects in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday. The projects were signed during the UP Investors Summit 2018 organised in February. The new projects will see launch by large companies like Reliance, Walmart, Adani, Mahindra, Paytm, TCS and GAIL.
