To meet the rising summer demand, Regional Passport Offices, including Passport Seva Kendras (PSKs), will remain open in seven centres on Sunday, July 8. The centres are Jaipur, Kolkata, Patna, Kochi, Kozhikode, Thiruvananthapuram and PSK Ambala, a Ministry of External Affairs release said here on Friday.
The applications for all passport-related services other than Tatkaal and Police Clearance Certificate will be accepted during Passport Mela, the release added.
The applicants will be required to fill up new application forms (available on the Web site ) and may visit the concerned RPO /PSK as above between 10 am and 2 pm along with a self-attested copy of each of the requisite documents. They also need to carry original documents for verification.
The release said applicants were not required to take online appointments for submitting applications during the Passport Mela. Applications will be accepted only in person and not through any third party.
The status of applications could be tracked through the Web site and for assistance, the applicants could a toll-free helpline 1800-258-1800, it added.
