Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM), Bangalore, recently concluded its annual international student cultural festival - Utopia. A total of 500 international students from over 20 countries attended the event.
With the festival theme 'Heroes - unleash the unbelievable you!', SIBM was decked with instillations of heroes. A spider web at the front gate, Batman guarding the auditorium and the students wearing custom made UTOPIA t-shirts refreshed their (students') childhood fantasies.
Students from different countries swayed and moved to the tunes of nations far and wide during the dance competition - Happy Feet. T John's College won the competition, and others were rewarded with good share of fun with peppy numbers from Nigeria and melody from Sri Lanka, all playing at the same stage.
After the dance came the fashion show Panache which was won by Sambhram College, which captured the top spot with their Techno theme.
Some of the other major events during the festival were football and basketball competitions which were won SFS College. A few informal events such as tug-of-war and treasure hunt were also organised during the day.
