Defying the slowdown in the economy, XLRI Jamshedpur managed to place all the 245 students of its 2012-14 batch in less than four days.
Nearly 103 recruiters took part in the final recruitment process this year. This is higher by almost a third than the 77 companies which had participated in the final recruitment process in 2013.
“Against the backdrop of a protracted slowdown in the economy, XLRI- Xavier School of Management is proud to announce that it has placed the entire batch of 245 students of its flagship Business Management and Human Resource Management Programmes in just three-and-a-half days,” said a press statement issued by XLRI.
A total of 254 offers were made across domains with a variety of roles in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, banking, sales and marketing, strategy, operations and human resource management.
The detailed report of placement statistics is yet to be announced and is expected to be out early next week, said a spokesperson at the students’ placement committee.
The placement season 2014 also saw 32 new recruiters in addition to the traditional recruitment partners, the release said.
The final recruitment process was marked by a good presence from players in the financial sector and new recruiters from the consulting domain.
