In a cash plus stock deal, Mumbai based edu-tech start-up, Embibe.com has acquired the popular student guidance platform - 100Marks. Embibe.com uses personalised data analytics to improve students' competitive test scores, whereas, 100Marks is a sought after student guidance platform for JEE Main, Advanced and Medical.
With a combined footprint of 40 lakh unique visitors last year, the acquisition will establish Embibe as one of the top players in the category.
“In acquiring 100Marks, we have not only welcomed India’s most respected and prompt JEE prep guidance platform to the Embibe family; we have also been fortunate to add two extremely committed young entrepreneurs to our team," said Aditi Avasthi, Founder and CEO of Embibe in a press statement.
Developed by IIT and DCE alumuni, Pradeep Kumar, 100Marks guides students in their self study through gamified adaptive practice and prompt exam news and updates.
