Simon Fraser University (SFU), a public research university in British Columbia, Canada has joined hands with Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Institute to participate in the BSEI-Ryerson Incubation Centre of Excellence (BRIC). The BRIC was set up some time ago to provide Indian entrepreneur’s with global aspirations a start-up environment. The incubation centre has been designed on the lines of the digital media zone and is housed in the BSE Institute premises in Mumbai.

“We are pleased to have Simon Fraser University participate in BRIC and contributing to economic growth and diversification in India and Canada through the creation of new businesses and new jobs,” said Ambarish Datta, Managing Director and CEO of BSE Institute in a press statement. The SFU has considerable experience in managing incubators and mentoring start-ups in various stages, thus, its participation in BRIC is a major boost to the start-up community in India.
