Dead load baggage: Cargo, mail, ballast and equipment in compartments not included in dry operating weight of the aircraft.
Deadline reservations: The minimum/maximum number of days/months before the day of departure by which reservations must be confirmed.
Declared value for carriage: The value of goods or baggage declared to the carrier by the passenger for the purposes of determining charges or of establishing the limit of the carrier’s liability for loss, damage or delay.
Delayed baggage: A piece(s) of baggage which fails to arrive at the airport of destination on the same flight as the passenger, but is subsequently delivered.
DOW (dry operating weight): Basic weight plus operational items, such as crew, crew baggage, flight equipment and pantry as per company specifications.
