Every day, I allocate at least 30 minutes to exercise. Not because I am a sportsperson, but because this investment helps me remain agile, flexible and independent. In my case, this also helps me keep my blood sugar levels under check.

I visit my doctor every month and follow his instructions with great care. He is kept informed of anything new - a holiday or a new exercise routine. He, accordingly, advises me on medication, precautionary steps, etc.

I check my blood sugar levels with my glucose monitor at least three times a day. This helps me keep an accurate record that helps me keep track the what causes of spikes in my blood sugar levels. On giving this record every month to my doctor, he is able to advise me effectively.

I believe in ‘Less is more’ when it comes to dietary planning. Eating right and in small quantities not only helps me feel light and fresh, but has also helped my diabetes management.

My last meal of the day is around 8 pm. I have seen this work wonders for overall well-being — be it good sleep, waking up fresh, and a new day.
