The UK’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) is investigating an issue involving a digital calculator general practitioners use to assess heart disease risk in patients. The QRISK®2 Calculator uses predictive algorithm but in some cases has thrown up incorrect results. The MHRA is working with TPP, the software provider, to make sure the issue is resolved and that any affected patients are identified, the MHRA said.
