iBall’s cost-efficient, quality audio solutions have earned a name in India’s electronics market. The iBall Neo Trend 5.1 home theatre speakers are the latest addition to the Mumbai-based company’s affordable audio solutions department. The Neo Trend has a neat, light-weight form and comes with an integrated sound bar. The subwoofer and the satellites look cute and trendy. The compact design of whole unit would sync with your TV system if you figure out how to place them properly, that is. There are a lot of wires but connecting them won’t be a hassle. The system offers 80 watts RMS of power with good bass. The speaker also comes with a basic remote control and supports bluetooth connectivity, USB playback and FM Radio (the reception quality is very poor). Overall, the audio experience is pleasing, considering the price tag. The output is not jarring at high volumes, nor does it get disturbingly feeble while playing low-quality audio. The surround sound experience is impressive given the cost. That said, the control buttons on the subwoofer are a mess. Most of them get stuck after a few days of use and test your patience with their weird response. The remote is the saviour. The Neo Tend costs ₹8,999.
