The Hindu Business Line : APAS annual convention

HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh Akademi of Sciences (APAS) is organising its annual convention-2003 during January 24-25 at the Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati.

The main themes would be `frontier areas of atmospheric sciences' and `molecular design of catalysts'.

A special publication and journal of APAS would be released on the occasion. The Union Secretary of the Department of Ocean Development, Dr Harsh K. Gupta, will deliver the Prof. S. Bhagavantham memorial lecture, while Dr M.S. Valiathan, President of the Indian National Science Academy (INSA), will deliver the Dr Darshan Endowment Lecture, according to an Akademi release.
