Govt support sought for Hindustan Cables

Hyderabad , March 19

THE Andhra Pradesh Government has asked the Union Government to support the public sector Hindustan Cables Ltd by placing orders with the cable company.

In a letter to the Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, Mr Santosh Mohan Deo, and the Union Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunications, Mr Dayanidhi Maran, the Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, said the company had undertaken a diversification programme with the help of Indian Institute of Technology (Kharagpur).
