Global fast food retail chain McDonald's has selected Manthan Systems as its enterprise performance management solution provider. Announcing this here, Mr Atul Jalan, Managing Director and CEO of Manthan Systems, said that about 400 McDonald's outlets in the German and Austrian markets are using Astra, the retail-centric performance management methodology. McDonald's is expected to scale this up to 9,000 outlets by the year-end, Mr Jalan said. The deal size in each market is estimated to be in the range of $0.25-1 million.

Manthan Systems is a $4-billion software solutions provider for the retail and consumer goods industries and is expecting to touch a turnover of $15 million by December. Apart from McDonald's, Manthan's Astra has been implemented in a couple of other global retail companies.
