Bangalore, Aug. 17

Autodesk Inc has announced the latest version of its 3D modelling, animation and rendering software - 3ds Max 9. Used in the creation of games and films such as Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Autodesk's 3ds Max 9 software is tweaked for 64-bit architecture.

Hence, it allows artists to work with the huge datasets required for next-generation digital content creation. Rendering is also greatly improved with the mental ray 3.5 rendering core. 3ds Max 9 will be available in English in October and is priced at $3,495.
