Unitech Q3 net at Rs 452 cr

Real estate player Unitech Ltd recorded a 3,190 per cent jump in net profit at Rs 452.38 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2006, compared with Rs 13.75 crore posted during the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.

The total income increased by 476 per cent to Rs 1,016.59 crore (Rs 176.59 crore). "The expansion in residential and commercial projects in Delhi-NCR has led to the high growth in the quarter.

Currently, 65 million sq ft is under construction in the Capital-region and Kolkata," said Mr Sanjay Chandra, Managing Director, Unitech Ltd.
