Hyderabad Feb. 7 If you love to watch Rod Stewart singing Downtown Train or Elton John's The One, or prefer to enjoy Kylie Minogue perform, well it is now possible on the Internet at MSN India.

Music lovers couldn't have asked for more as they can just get hooked to live concerts now being brought to India by MSN, in partnership with Control Room.

However, what is interesting is it has created communities of music lovers who have separate chat rooms and blogs.

The Head of Consumer Marketing, MSN India, Satya Raghavan, told Business Line that MSN India has brought to Indian music lovers artistes like Beyonce Knowles, Snoop Dogg and John Mayer, the latest being Kylie Minogue.

Next in line is Elton John's concert. This is based on a tie-up with Control Room, bringing in programmes live and through video on demand.

Those who miss the concerts can have access to these stars through archives offered through video streaming. Music on the go, be it over the iPod, CD Player, LapTop or handheld devices, is becoming popular; the young and the old like to carry them along, making this extremely personal, and yet demanding a lot of customised feeds. This has made Internet a storehouse.

The Executive Producer, MSN India, Krishna Prasad, said the online medium has evolved into being a channel of entertainment offering both international and Indian content.

MSN is in talks with Sony BMG and other labels to offer similar services.

While a member is not charged, the revenues come from advertisements.
