Hyderabad Feb. 17 Dr Y.V. Reddy, Reserve Bank Governor, has said that Asian markets have been recovering their lost ground.

They were re-emerging after their share in the global output had declined over a period of time. There was significant increase in the trade relations between the Asian countries, showing increasing integration of these economies.

Dr Reddy was delivering the lecture on `Economies of the Asian countries and co-operation among the central banks' here on Saturday.

On high inflation, he said various factors such as the easing of oil prices were expected to moderate the inflationary pressures.

Referring to the demands for a common currency for the Asian countries, he said a consensus needs to be evolved before working on it.
