New application from F-Secure

Coimbatore, March 27

F-Secure Corporation has rolled out its DeepGuard application to provide `zero-day' protection (means - instant protection from an exploit) against previously unknown malware. The company has done this by combining several proactive technologies such as advanced real time heuristics, sandboxing (to block unknown threats) and behaviour monitoring with signature-based anti-virus technology to ensure data protection.

"Instead of analysing new programs after they enter the system, the F-Secure DeepGuard constantly monitors the behaviour of the software in real-time mode, scans for suspicious program behaviour and stops such suspicious activities immediately. Very little user intervention is needed. DeepGuard's artificial intelligence and tight integration with anti-virus firewall programs ensures protection," Mr Patrick Runald, Senior Security Specialist, F-Secure, said.
