E-auction facility to bid for BOT project in TN

Chennai, Oct. 16 Tamil Nadu Road Development Company Ltd will use an e-auction facility to call for bidders to develop, operate and maintain a Rs 100-crore, three-star hotel and related facilities on the Old Mahabalipuram Road.

According to a press release from MatexNet, an auction service provider, which is to provide the e-auction platform, this was a novel initiative where a build-operate-transfer (BOT) project is being auctioned online.

The project envisages a hotel, service apartments, multiplex, food courts, malls and hyper marts. The facility will be on a 30-year lease at the SIPCOT Information Technology Park at Siruseri on the OMR.
