IAP plans new unit in Hyderabad

New Delhi, Jan. 11

Software company IAP on Friday said it is considering setting up a new development centre in Hyderabad with a capacity for 500 professionals, as the company gears-up to tap opportunities in the booming Indian market. “We currently have 1,000 people in India, of which 300 professionals are based in Gurgaon. In the next 12 months, we are looking at a 100 per cent jump in our headcount. We are also planning a new office in Mumbai,” Mr Vipul Kant Upadhyay, CEO and Managing Director of IAP, said. IAP today also said it would explore business possibilities in telecom and mobile verticals in India in a joint initiative with Japan based Access Co Ltd. “We looking at the Indian market to offer browser and other technologies for billing server, payment gateway, live streaming services and transcoader,” Dr Tomihisa Kamada, co-founder, Executive Vice-President, and Chief Technology Officer CTO of Access Co, said. —
