No ban on cement exports to Nepal

K.R. Srivats

New Delhi, May 21 The Government has eased the existing export ban on cement to allow such exports to Nepal.

After the Government had banned cement exports in the second week of April to improve domestic supplies, it had exempted supplies made from the domestic tariff area (DTA) to units in SEZs from the export ban.

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has now issued an executive order stating that the existing ban on export of cement and cement clinker will not be applicable to export to Nepal.
