New Products & Services Google Map Maker now in India Hyderabad, Aug. 27 Google has announced the launch of Google Map Maker (mapmaker.google.com) in India, which helps users to add additional information. Conceived and developed by an Indian engineering team, Google Map Maker allows people to add or edit features such as roads, businesses, parks, schools, apartment buildings, localities and more The Creator of Google Map Maker and software engineer, Dr Lalitesh Katragadda, in statement said “Google Map Maker solves an inherent need espec ially for countries such as ours where maps data is sparse .” Describing this as an achievement of engineering team, the Head of Google R&D, Dr Prasad Ram, said “focus is on real issues around local content and usability”. — Our Bureau More Stories on : New Products & Services | Internet
